Falivan

The Falivan make up a quite separate cultur within The Kingdom of Dimha besides Dhimian . They retain different naming traditions, foods, family structures and ideals, carrying over from their imigration from Tulim several generations back, when they settled the relatively unclaimed lands around Faliva .

Naming Traditions

Feminine names

Heildi, Hildi, Hulda, Ilvi, Silli, Ulla, Miri, Mari, Bjerit and so on.

Masculine names

Dagrik, Ealdur, Finnar, Ragnar, Bjorni, Kalrik, Torkar and so on.

Family names

Family names are based on the male progenitor in the 'sen' format. Son of Finnar, Daughter of Finnar, becomes Finnarson, Finnardottir. Where the father is unknown or the mother is of great renown, the mother supplants the father in the naming of offspring.

The Falivan are not too dissimilar to the people of Anaweil in that they speak plainly and scorn lies in conversation.

Primairly earthen colors, mixed with toned down reds and blues. Green tend to be abstained exept for forrest folk.

Art & Architecture

A strong heritage for constructing with wood, and carving decorations into columns. A Falivan house without a carved set of columns in front of the main entrance is a poor home. Motifs and patterns vary, but floral motifs tend to be common. Roofs tend to be tatched. Due to high flamebility they rarely build close and every house is expected to have a garden, even within larger settlements, including Faliva. The result is an open and spacious layout of their settlments.
