Moira Callahan
A powerful and renowned witch of the Callahan line, Moira was also one of the town founders of Cape Otway, and the builder of Callahan Manor. Though born and raised in Melbourne, Moira travelled to Cape Otway with her mother, Sheena, in an effort to stop a killer siren and close a portal to the faery Otherworld. Sheena died during the ensuing battle, and though the siren was either killed or banished back to the Otherworld, the portal remained open, and so Moira decided to stay, building her house on the cliffs above sea, dedicating herself and her family to guarding the portal and protecting the area from the supernatural.

Special abilities
Moira Callahan possessed the rare power of photokinesis. She was able to create floating orbs of light, and emit light from her hands and eyes. As she grew more proficient in this power, Moira was able to vary the brightness of the light she created, from dull to literally blinding, and was able to manipulate and control other sources of light that she did not create.
Moira's mastery over this power eventually led to the ability to control and manipulate darkness, known as umbrakinesis. Using this power, Moira could make natural darkness darker, such as night and shadow, as well as creating areas of complete darkness during the day, blocking out all light.
