Callahan Manor

Callahan Manor is the ancestral home of the Callahan Witches. It was built by Moira Callahan, beginning construction in the year 1852, and completed construction the following year in 1853. The manor was built at Cape Otway after Sheena and Moira Callahan's battle with the siren. Their spell to send the siren back to the Otherworld created a mystical portal that, with enough magic, can be used by anyone to travel between the Otherworld and the mortal world. Because of this, Moira decided to build her house at the cape, thus founding the town of Cape Otway, so that she and her descendants could guard the portal to keep the mortal world safe.
It is one of the oldest houses in Cape Otway, and has a homestead of several acres of land that has served as farmland for generations of Callahans. Various protective spells and sigils were woven into the building of the house, iron nails were used exclusively, and a rabbit was sacrificed and buried beneath the foundations, all of which culminated in making the house a very magically protected place. The house is also situated on a ley line intersection, which has helped fuel the Callahans' powers for generations.

Architecture

Built in the Victorian style, with white cladding, bay windows, turret room, wrap-around veranda, attic dormer windows, stained glass, high ceilings, and crown moldings. The front double-doors are made of purpleheart wood, keeping their natural purple colour, and set with stained glass windows.
