Getting Some Goods
Fleec gets the chance to grab some goodies, and a surprise.
Plot points/Scenes
Fleec finds his way back to Eschbach, and gets settled a bit. Then off he goes to the Black Forest to hunt a few spiders. On the way he manages to find the traders building for the Valley of the Black Ones. Waiting there he will be approached by one of the guards from the entrance of the valley and asks if he wants to trade. An elderly female trader will approach called Agnis who will be able to supply him a few spider venom samples, and a small amount of poisonous mushrooms if he can return from his trip to the lair with a few spider eggs.
The lair itself is easy to find, and a few spiders are still present. Some can be killed, and others captured. While doing so, he will find the egg chamber where the eggs are destroyed, but there is still other parts where he can explore.
In the main chamber he finds the spider silk throne, and if examined he notices a barely visible tear in the seat. Down inside is a small chamber that contains an egg with a hardened shell similar to a pearl. Something is moving and very gently tapping the inside. What it contains is unknown but it is far larger than the any spider egg he's seen.
A further look will reveal other tunnels filled with the remains of spiders, and along with them there is a far larger egg chamber in one spot. it has hundreds of eggs and most are hard to get to or remove. Fleec can easily removed some of them of different sizes & types. These can be brought back to be traded with both the apothecary & Agnis.
If going back by to meet Agnis, she will take the eggs except for the large pearl-like one saying it is dangerous and the contents belong to Lolth, the demonic queen of spiders. It can either be destroyed or sold the the 'right' person for much money but the Black Elves won't touch it. She will state that the contents are exceptionally powerful.
Fleec can either destroy it resulting in a baby humanoid creature being killed, or sold to the apothicary. The choice is his. The apothecary called Jean-Luc will buy it for 500 gold, and with the spiders & the eggs Fleec can get 1d12 vials within a week & the same every two weeks thereafter.
After a few days the egg if left alone will birth a new Spider Queen that will grow to maturity in 1d20 weeks.
