The Humbaba Affair
A few weeks after the events of The Clone With No Name the three friends Paolo Garcia, Gabriel Trent, and Cedric Bourbon are on leave on Dionysos, along with their new friend and shipmate Jesse Peters. While trying to figure out how and why they got booked, free of charge, in the penthouse suite in the most exclusive hotel, a burglar named Virgil break into the suite, but only to get their attention and to tell them that someone will contact them about a mission. They decline but bring Virgil along to the big parade that evening, partly to keep an eye on Virgil, and partly because Bourbon is attracted to Virgil.
After a failed assassination attempt against Bourbon they go looking for the ship Procrustes which they've figured out is on Dionysos. They board the ship, and fall asleep, from Dream Invites. When they wake up, they find that they're going on a mission after all, to Humbaba, the sworn enemy world of the Coalition, to extract Commander Hector Garrapata, the same man they were up against on Calypso, weeks earlier.
