Procrustes

An ugly, clunky ship that looks like some boxes with rounded edges stuck together, but it's unique as the last ship of its kind still in use.

Procrustes was made millennia ago, but it's not that old, it's just that fast. The longest serving Captain of the ship, Finian Brooke, ran the ship without a Navigational Space Folder for at least two extended periods, which meant interstellar travel at relativistic speeds. The ship and anyone aboard aged significantly slower than the rest of the universe, the faster the ship traveled.

Captain Brooke was a rogue, a smuggler, a pirate, and a serial killer. His contribution to the ship was a cage in his cabin in which he kept what he called his "cabin boys," except his definition of a cabin boy differs from the more traditional one. He'd keep a boy between the ages 15-19 years old in the cage, as a sex slave, and when they turned 20, he murdered them and buried on an uninhabited planet. Paolo Garcia was put in his cage but rescued the same night, and that was the night Brooke's time as Captain of Procrustes ended.

Procrustes was used several times by Military Intelligence, for unofficial undercover operations, since then.
