James Edward Peters (a.k.a. Jesse)

Jesse is dark brown, tall and muscular. He grew up in Aeolus City and was close friends with Billy Gilbert, even to the point of them being lovers for a while – or at least friends who have sex occasionally. Paolo never bullied Jesse – he wouldn’t have dared, and also never bullied anyone he was attracted to – but he did bully Billy’s younger brother, Jamie, and for that he resented Paolo.

When Paolo got reassigned, to finish his shipboard training on Onomatopoeia, Jesse wasn’t happy about it. Jesse and Trent became friends almost immediately, as well as with Bourbon, and with Trent came Paolo, whether he wanted to or not. He eventually warmed up to Paolo, as he discovered that it wasn’t just words, that Paolo really had stopped bullying.
