Minoan Bankers Union
When the Minoan economy collapsed there were riots in the streets of Theseus City and hundreds of bankers were lynched during those riots. The bankers were responsible for the collapse and yet claimed they were entitled to bailout money, even though the Minoan Drax was worthless. The people were not amused.
It was believed that the bankers who weren’t lynched got left behind on Minos Gamma during the evacuation. It turned out that at least one of them had a private spaceship which a bunch of them got aboard and made their way to Aeolus City where they tried to start over, but found that they were prohibited from working in banks, because the people of the Coalition didn’t want their economy ruined too. The Minoan bankers joined the Minoan Heritage Foundation only to be excommunicated as soon as they were found out to be bankers. Therefore they started the Minoan Bankers Union which started as an illicit bank, that laundered money for crooks and soon developed into full on organized crime. The Minoan Gentlemen’s Society was founded to counter the Bankers union, and when The Index took over organized crime, the Gentlemen’s Society made sure that the Bankers Union weren’t invited, which has led to several acts of violence between them, but the bankers are at an almost impossible disadvantage. The only thing that keeps them from being crushed is their new wealth.
