Crown Prince
The title is given at birth to the firstborn child of the King in most Monarchies. In some places their Constitution specifies the firstborn son, whereas others, like Lacedaemon, have become more progressive and now say Firstborn Child, allowing girls to become the reigning monarch.
The firstborn child remains Crown Prince, or Crown Princess, until the reigning monarch dies, or choose to step down. In some cases, Crown Princes have been assassinated by ambitious younger siblings who wanted the throne for themselves. Depending on the society this was in some cases encouraged, as a sign of strength in the younger sibling. On Lacedaemon, however, they had to be careful not to be caught, or they'd be tried for the crime and executed if found guilty. At least, the last prince to murder his older brother on Lacedaemon was executed. Capital punishment has since been abolished on Lacedaemon, except for dealing in subprime mortgages.
