Personal history
Maemavul was born of Porscil and Vasculas while the deities walked together across the Demon Realm. His parents took him with them for some time, but Maemavul soon wandered away - longing to explore for himself.
He traveled by means of the rivers of the Demon Realm, studying the mortals as they went about their daily lives. They noticed the way demons would trade good with each other, and became intrigued by how they determined what made an exchange equal. They were soon directed to Mavasnier, as the Beastkin Realm had a more established bartering system the god could observe.
Maemavul found much to learn indeed - and soon went to the Divine Realm to meet the Beastkin deities that dealt with barter and trade. Their guidence led him to learn of commerce, and he knew right away that it would be his primary domain - the first of such a deity in the Demon Pantheon.
Maemavul's influence spread slowly, primarily focused in Mavasnier - where his Great Temple would eventually be built. It was not until after Lavven's Unification of the Demon Realm that Maemavul's influence spread to the rest of the realm, and he was as well disposed to spread his influence as any merchant opening up new trade routes.
