Cult base outside of Tumbleton

This Cult of the Dragon base outside of Tumbleton was occupied between Eleasis and Elient of 1491. It was abandoned shortly following the Raid on Tumbleton.

Purpose / Function

The base was established to house cultist, mercenary, and kobold raiders before they launched their raid on Tumbleton. In addition, the base served a secondary purpose, one unknown to all but the highest ranking cultists, as a nearby cave system was converted into a dragon hatchery.

Alterations

The base was established at the bottom of a ravine, ensuring that it could not be spotted unless directly stumbled upon. The central area of the camp was split into areas for kobolds and for other humanoids.   A small cave system as the base of the ravine was modified into a command area. Additions included a cold storage room, bed rooms for the commanders, and, most importantly, a dragon hatchery.

History

In mid-Eleasis of 1491, a force of Dragon Cultists, kobolds, and mercenaries, led by the blue half-dragon Langdedrosa Cyanwrath, established the base camp.   On the 9th of Elient, 1491, the majority of the camp's forces marched to launch the Raid on Tumbleton, with the express purpose of securing the town's Aethercore and assisting in the extraction of the cult's leader, Don Rel. They were successful and arrived back at the base on the early morning of the 10th.   That same day, the Harper agent Ser Vich was captured sneaking around the camp, but was rescued by undercover members of the future Breadwinners, including Mariana Goldfinch, Malachor Wolfsbane, Legolass Darkblade, and Amber. Due to Ser Vich's rescue, and with their operation completed, the majority of the camp was abandoned on the evening of the 10th, leaving only a token force under Langdedrosa Cyanwrath to guard to cave system.   On the 11th of Elient, the future Breadwinners returned to the camp, killing Cyanwrath and destroying the dragon eggs.
