Princess Lelliven ta Janin (a.k.a. Lelli)

Lelliven is the middle child of Torra's royal family, but definitely the most put together.
Lelli's father, Rassutan, is the ruler of Torra. While her older brother Rantali was raised as his heir, Lelli turned her attention to the sciences. Most of the world is focused on how to protect themselves from the Forest, but Lelli wanted to know the ins and outs of how it worked. She founded the Forest Research Institute when she was 21 to bring together researchers from around Veiama. Their goal is to understand how bloodsap trees work and where they came from.
Her research into the Forest has been Lelli's primary focus for many years. Her other focus, though, is holding her family together. Her mother, Queen Kailis, died three years ago. Her little sister, Akko, disappeared a few months later, and is also presumed dead. Meanwhile, her father has isolated himself from his remaining children while her brother grows more and more fanatical in his anti-witchcraft and Torren nationalistic views.
Lelli hopes that her research into the Forest will provide solutions to de-radicalize him, but at the very least, it gives her something to focus on other than the problems in her family.
