His Highness the Prince Alren Jakkenha ta Failenin
Alren is the younger brother of King Halkir, second in line for the throne, and the current Conductor of the Assembly.
Alren grew up in the shadow of his older brother, who was destined to be king. Still, the brothers got along well. Alren was the more bookish of the pair, and took a great interest in the politics of running the country. Their father, Kauhara ta Failenin died when Alren was 21. Halkir became the king, and passed the Failen seat in the Assembly to Alren.
Although he was one of the youngest members, Alren consistently attended meetings of the Assembly with more regularity than many long term members. This helped him gain influence and make allies. Alren always erred on the side of pragmatism and tradition. He argued against radical changes and advised caution in all matters.
When he was 25, he married Jällesa ta Ravulin, a countess from Halai. When he was 32, he was elected Conductor of the Assembly, and has held the title ever since. He and Jällesa have two children - Olessi (16) and Lienu (12).
