Crypt Hunter
Sometimes the best way to beat a superior foe is through intellect and superior weaponry.Crypt Hunter are highly trained Night Hunters that are given dangerous assignments that involve the undead. With the most common target being Corpses, Vampires, and Ghouls. Though it may seem to be easy enough for, them like any other hunter. But the horrifying truth is that they are sent in to clear them out of their dark dwellings. Often being in darkness and in a completely different world where those they are hunting have the advantage. Only their unique skills and special equipment are the only things keeping him alive. Their only missions is to purge everything that they find and leave nothing but ashes and corpses.
Qualifications
They must be Night Hunter who know their way around weaponry and items that are highly dangerous and require skilled hands to use them. Along with vast knowledge on the on the undead.
Requirements
One must be an experienced Night Hunter for a certain amount of years. Along with knowing their way around certain types of equipment to ensure that they remain safe and avoid injuring themselves and others.
Appointment
They are often selected by a board made of monster specialists and equipment armorers of the Black Order and review previous assignments and the Night Hunter’s background. Once the the board approves the hunter, they grant them access to advance weapons training and advanced tactics training. Which can take several months to complete.
Duties
When a dwelling of any kind is discovered to have certain forms of undead, they are sent to clear them out. They are often on a extermination contract and are the first ones sent in to ensure that all threats are neutralized.
Responsibilities
A Crypt Hunter is sent in to ensure that no other Night Hunter has to go in. They are also responsible for keeping their equipment up to shape and create their own potions and items to uses in their field.
Accoutrements & Equipment
They are given highly advanced equipment that and armor that helps protect them better from attacks from supernatural beings. Along with weapons that best suit tight or small spaces to fight in. A helmet is also given with special lenses that allow them to see in complete darkness with out creating light to reveal their position. Items they carry are often highly flammable and lethal to undead beings. Along with a failsafe to wipe out any creatures near them if they are killed or infected.
Cultural Significance
Unlike Shadow Hunters who are created to fight the most dangerous of creature through skill alone. A Crypt Hunter use their weaponry and intelligence to beat their unnatural prey. Most people find the either very brave or very stupid to go in a crypt full of monsters.
