Archmage Mirabel
Archmage/Lord Salazar Mirabel
Archmage Mirabel is human wizard from Val'ul. He is the father to Sofia Mirabel, queen of Tumult, and the last surviving sitting member of the council of Val'ul. He was the head of House Abjuration. He lived in Tel'ul where many of the Val'ulian survivors moved to after the fall of Val'ul, and served as a leader for that defeated community. Eventually, the fuddling that effected so many of his people took a hold of him, and he would die a few years after the death of King Bedrich under the care of his daughter.

Motivation
He desires to protect his people, and thus opposed the summoning of Resentment which doomed them. He works to protect the survivors and hopefully start rebuilding the glory and reputation of Val'ul.

Contacts & Relations
During the fall of Val'ul, he and his daughter were saved by the three heroes Malvo, Elias and Gojira. This formed a deep loyalty to the three from this old mage, one that would make him a general in the army they formed to defend Tel'ul from the Dormant Advance. After the victory over the Dormant, he would remain as a general in the Tel'ul military, serving the budding nation so that his people could be safe.
He is the last sitting member of the council of mages and carries that status throughout the magic community.
Family Ties
He is the father to the queen of Tumult. Though he is not openly an ally of Tumult, finding the necrotic leanings of the king to be questionable. He is more aligned with the cause of Malvo, the rescuer of his people, and thus leaves Tumult in the care of his daughter.
