Republic of Ningxia
The Republic of Ningxia was a star state in the Outer Systems that existed between 2398 and 2589. It was organised as a parliamentary representative democracy, and had control over the eponymous Ningxia System, and the habitable world of Zhongning. It gained autonomy from the United Leagues of Earth during the Antimatter Crisis, as did the other states of the Outer Systems League. During the cold war that followed the Crisis, Ningxia came under the influence of the State of Tavastia, and was also the second state to fall to the Tavastian advance in the Tavastian War. Orizonter liberated Ningxia during the war, after which a referrendum was held, overseen by Orizont's military, that resulted in the people of Ningxia agreeing to annexation by Orizont. Despite objections from other states, most prominently the Federal Republic of Zeta Tucanae, the Republic of Ningxia was dissolved and its territory officially annexed by Orizont.
