Firsit

Firsit is the youngest of the former Wringers, having been active in the unit for barely a year when they were disbanded. Like his older siblings he is barred from consideration for the rank of Sage, but due to his exceptional mid-scale control of water he is the Eddy's primary teacher of water handling.

Personal history

Firsit's natural skill in water handling was evident from a very young age. Before Kezlaf tested him, he was learning basic techniques just by imitating the older handlers when they practiced. He was no younger than any of the others had been when he joined the active Wringers, but still saw it as a particular honor. He felt very grown-up to be going on special trips with his father and older siblings. It was a shock, then, to be swept away to hide with the children when the palace was invaded by Dissolvers. Being safe wasn't a comfort when he could tell that people he loved were getting hurt. Firsit tried to escape the room but lost the handler vs. worker fight with Onnos, who was guarding them.
When Istlourn came with news that the battle had ended and Kezlaf was dead, Firsit became furious and tried to attack him. He blamed Istlourn for losing to the Dissolvers, holding that grudge all the way to the Eddy. It was eight years before he understood how little control any of them had over the events of that night.
