Falcone Crime Family
The Falcone Family is the largest criminal gang in MIskatonic city and has many fronts over the Union of Eleutheria and even in the new frontier. They have rackets in many criminal businesses but focus on a few things gambling, loan sharking and fighting clubs.
Structure
The Falcone Family hierarchy and leadership is based on the pre-Confluence Mafia that inspired them. The lowest rank are the associates then the soldiers then the capos then the underbosses and the leader is the Don.
Associates are the lowest rank and are men who have not been made and have not yet earned the right to call themselves part of the Falcone family.
Soldier: The soldiers are known as made men who are the lowest members of the crime family but still command respect in the organization. To become made man the soldiers are required to take an oath of silence, called omerta.
Capo: Describes a ranking made member of the family who leads a crew of soldiers or who manage one of the Falcone facilities like a club, tavern, casino or some other businesses.
Underboss: A powerful second in command, that may manage large parts of an area like a city district and will have multiple Capos under their command.
Consigliere: The adviser to the boss. Usually a trusted friend and confidant, and usually the number 2 man in the family.
Boss or Don: The undisputed leader of the organization.
Culture
The Falcone crime family styles them self largely off the pre-confluence mafia or at least what Charles Falcone seen in the old-world movies he liked. Many of them especially the higher-ranking members always make an attempt to look there best like dressing in fine suits and always having their hair combed and be freshly shaven. They are based on the principles of honor loyalty and respect of the family. And all made men must fallow rules of the family and the rules are.
1. You must honor and show loyalty and respect to all members above you.
2. You're not to put a hand on another made member without permission.
3. you're never will attempt to steal or seduce another member's spouse or lover.
4. When asked for any information the answer must be the truth.
5. Never be seen or work with the cops.
6. Money cannot be appropriated if it belongs to other members or to the family.
7. Avoid harming civilians.
8. Never discuss business with non-members
9. Be mindful of how you present yourself and the family to the public.
10. Always be available to do the duties given to you by the family
And there are exceptions to every rule is the unsaid rule of the family.
Public Agenda
The Falcone crime family wellbeing a criminal gang does what it can to keep up an image with the public or civilians as they say. Many Falcone capos and bosses present themselves as gracious host, providing the city with a good time and entertainment or a group that provides a valuable service. To present themselves as gracious businessmen as well as making clubs and casinos they spend a lot of their money on charities many of Miskatonic soup kitchens are operated and funded by the Falcone Family.
Assets
The Falcone Family owns many clubs, taverns and other facilities for legit businesses or to act as fronts for criminal dealing. Some of the Falcone Family's biggest illegal businesses is their loan sharking business focusing on offering loans at extremely high interest rates. Many foolish or desperate people will take a loan from one of the Falcone's money men. Many other foolish or very unlucky fall into debt with the Falcone family losing too much money to one of the Falcone's gambling establishments. However, the Falcone loan sharks will never hesitate to tell you how generous the Falcone family is, that even if you don't have the money to pay off the debts owed to the family, that they don't have to break your legs they can usually find another way you can pay off your debts to them.
To make their fighting clubs entertaining the Falcone's have spent a lot of money to fine, hire or train good fighters to compete in the fight clubs. The Falcone family has even hired hunters to capture live creatures for animals baiting where they have animals or monsters fight with one another.
With their many facilities the Falcone family puts a lot of money in security for example in many of the Falcone family own clubs the Falcone's will often pay a lot to hire strong bouncers.
History
The Falcone crime family was founded by a man name Charles Falcone who when he was a young man found pre-confluence books and movies about an old-world crime organization called the mafia. Charles Falcone like these stories of this old-world organization so much that he based his new crime gang off the mafia from the pre-confluence movies he seen. Charles Falcone was a rather skilled at running a crime gang be for his death the Falcone crime family became the biggest in Miskatonic city and possibly the biggest in Eleutheria.
After Charles Falcone died, he made his nephew Jimmy Falcone took over the family's business. Yes Charles Falcone had many children, but he didn't find any of them worthy of taking over the family business.
