Humans are the most common of the sentient species in the Million Islands, with populations that outnumber the others by several orders of magnitude. There are many cultures and societies of human beings across the islands, some of which will be listed below.

Human beings are also suspected to be the root from which the Selkie and Aethry species originate - in both cases, it is believed that their root populations were human before they were altered by magic.
