Arcaz Sovereignty
The Arcaz Sovereignty is perhaps the most intuitive of the guilds, lending its knowledge across the globe with its profound scientists and outstanding magi. From within their advanced city walls of Entei, in the southern reaches of Occulas, the guild of technology and arcane power is forever continuing to perfect and experiment. For the 'blue guild' as dubbed by some, information and knowledge is paramount, for the scientists of the sovereignty, it is the want to know everything that guides them, and they will go to great lengths to do so. The sovereignty provides wisdom and support through their school, Merlin Academy, that allows students of all young ages to control Arcane and Elemental Magic as well as delve into the scientific understanding of the modern world. The most important thing about the Arcaz Sovereignty is knowing magic and science is reactive, calculative and methodical, one wrong move could spell disaster (literally). With the Sovereignty, patience and intelligence is key. Many who come to the sovereignty often come for advise, illusion or control. The best of this guild could be called inventive, progressive. The worst however... manipulative and treacherous.
Structure
The sovereignty is ruled by two empowered figures. One, head of the technological studies and advancements. And the other, head of the arcane arts and teaching program (who takes on roll as Head Master of Merlin Academy). Sometimes there are rare cases of one figure taking on both roles, for example Professor Magus'bane has done so since the previous head of technological studies and advancements passed away. Beneath these figures are ministers of Health, Communication & Commerce, and Defence.

ROLES & PERSONALITIES
Mind Sculptors: These are the ranks of magi that have dedicated themselves to becoming Oracles, or psychics to foresee the future and uncover the secrets of the mind.
Security Grid: Entei City is sometimes the highest, sometimes the lowest for crime rate. This can be gratified for the installation of the Security Grid, an advanced system put in place to map the entire city and to keep a watchful gaze on whatever happens to disrupt the community. In cases of severe emergency, mechanical security enforcers unfold from the very city walls themselves. If you're too unlucky, the Arcane Crystals will even attempt to protect themselves.
Philosophers and Scholars: These men and woman have become great and wise, learning the ins and outs of dos and don'ts.
The Spellwise: are the specifically trained magi who act as a small army for Entei, using the best of technology and magic to defend themselves and the city. They dedicate themselves to the arcane arts, following rules very loosely to albeit surpass their limited powers.
History
Before Alderwell
Sometime after the Great Voyage, the Eternal known as Iringod began to feel his arcane powers amplified by merely remaining in Magic Earth for an extended amount of time. By this time he had already amassed a small following in arcane magic. They were simply known as the 'followers of Iringod' and together they began a relationship with the high elves of Kuj'anast City in Viridium, who had already began to study the arcane properties of this world many years before the Great Voyage and even used powerful magic to defend themselves against the Burning Invasion almost a millennia ago. Overtime their knowledge grey and so too did their power, resulting in Iringod being the first to sense the presence of great arcane energy south, beyond the lands of Terimus. He and his followers followed the source at the end of the 4th century, taking them across the Great Channel and through South Occulas.Alderwell Discovered
The closer Iringod traveled to their destination the more he began to realise the changes in the environment. Grass was greener, perhaps glowing. The air thrummed on their palms as they cast simple magics. Eventually they finally reached a magical font of arcane power that looked as though they stared into the stars themselves. Iringod aptly named this the Starwell and designated this to be their new home, beginning Alder City. Iringod thus began to call his people the magi of the Stars. Alongside the city's growth, and the magical cultivation of the land, the magi's arcane abilities grew too. It earned Iringod and his people the more common title of wizards and sorcerers (depending on region) from the rest of Occulas. The Magi were often called for by the royal family of the Kingdom of Asmodius as advisors or to help the Fist of Asmodius with missions. Although the Magi of the Stars were not directly afilliated with Asmodius City any longer, they remained loyal to the Kingdom they came from, accepting trade and gifts in the form of labour, food and materials that were not so abundant in Alderwell.War Against Dantézan
In the beginning of the 5th century the magi were faced with new troubles that were for the first time disputes with other countries. When the reformed Order of Injustira began to send out heralds with doomsday messages the magi were forced to usher them out of the country out of fear of their population giving into fear. Many people had come to Entei from Asmodius City, wanting to see the new sights and to start a new life. Iringod even began to build towers in Alderwell to man with magi to control their borders from the outposts being build by the Order, who were becoming increasingly more brave to build outside of their territory. The Order's fascination with spreading south was soon revealed, however, when their heralds were proven correct. In 540 the Greater Demon, Dantézan, revealed himself with a surprise attack from the western mountain range bordering Alderwell. The attack resulted in a cataclysm that ruined the land around the mountains and decimated half of Alderwell in one swoop - clearing the path for demons to attack. In 555 Iringod sacrificed himself, travelling to the heart of the Lord of Ruin's territory within the mountains to destroy his source of power. Iringod was successful, but with the loss of his life the burden of leader of the Magi of the Stars were handed down to Merlin - who had lived through the growing danger of demons and saw the war begin when he was just 15 years old. After two decades of war, Dantézan was finally defeated in 560 and the magi of Alder could finally rejoice. The spires that Iringod lost his life in were eventually named after him.Arcane Addiction
After the war against Dantézan, Alder saw many elves from Kuj'anast remain in the city, calling it home. But after several hundred years the Starwell's effect on the elves began to show worrying implications. In the 10th century Alder's society became increasingly more troubled by the Arcane Addiction, known as a disease at the time that took hold of only a minute fraction of the magi. However, this disease was far worse for the elves who had no prior exposure to such raw sources of arcane magic. They soon became addicted, so much that they could not rest without consuming energy from the well. Merlin warned them that should they be unable to control their addiction and their unstable thirst for consuming and casting arcane magic then must face the consequences. Some of the elves resisted, forcing themselves out to found A'lorwyn in the Wilds. The remaining elves later became stubborn and refused to accept Merlin's warnings. In 945 Alder saw riots by the elves that now called themselves Star Elves (a nickname once used by the magi who likened their eyes to glowing blue stars). Shortly after Merlin receives a warning from the Order of Injustira that the star elves must be controlled. With tensions rising the The Circle offered the elves a secret ultimatum - a seed from their world tree, Ovdrassil, to restart their lives in a land unknown. The addicted star elves then stole a vial of water from the Starwell and using the information given to them by the Circle they vanished via portal - in secret. Merlin and his magi, now free of the Order's warnings and free of their own arcane addiction problem felt ease return to the city.Entei
In 1300 a human from Asmodius City, known as Entei, finally took the long journey across the continents to join Merlin in Alder City. This was the beginning of a great relationship between science and magic, as Entei and his closest followers were engineers, investors and scholars who wanted to combine science with magic. This saw the Magi of the Stars merge with what they called Alchemists of Entei. Together they propelled their society into the future.Dark Days and the Jewel War 1551 - 1568
For some years before the Dark Days even begin, Merlin and his greatest magi research and investigate the possible discovery of the Sapphire Jewel. They believed that when the Omnijewel was destroyed, the visible light patterns across the skies were beacons, trails that would lead them towards shattered pieces of the once potent seraphic artefact. By 1548 their research was rewarded with the jewel's discovery. Merlin used the jewel for great purposes - including the creation of arcane crystals- but unbeknownst to him he had started a race to find the other missing jewels. In 1551 the Dark Days saw the world plummeted into darkness. If it weren't for Merlin possessing the Sapphire Jewel then much of the land would have perished. 5 years later Jewel War begins and the people of Alder joined the battle against Asmodius and it's then-tyrant king (who held the Crimson Jewel). During this war, Entei is fatally wounded and is transported to Shiyobusa Summit in an attempt to save his life, but the Monks of Timol'bet fail in their desperate attempts. The loss of Merlin's best friend and ally caused him to become increasingly more devastating in his war against the Mad King. In 1568, the Jewel War ends at the sacrifice of Merlin's life, who used the Sapphire Jewel to nullify all discovered and possibly undiscovered Jewels across Occulas. This caused a devestating blow to the Magi of the Stars, and by extension the Alchemists of Entei who had already lost their leader. In 1573, Alder is renamed Entei in honor of the fallen alchemist (as part of Merlin's will), and Merlin Academy is built in it's center, surrounding Merlin's Tower in the hope to train young individuals so that his teachings may never be forgotten. After 17 years pass the magi and the alchemists agree to follow in the Injustira Syndicate's footsteps, to become an official Guild and join the great alliance known as the Guildeam. From this point on the Arcaz Sovereignty is born.Guildisation
The guildisation changed the people of alder in many ways, and the borders of Alderwell became more concrete. Socially it brought the sovereignty's people together, which was now a large mixture of scientists, inventors, magi and alchemists as well as ordinary folk.Present
In the present day, the Arcaz Sovereignty is ruled by Professor Magus'bane, first name Elloittis, born in 1926 within the town of Traverse, at the age of 88 he has become the 2nd Grand Mage to exist, the first being Merlin. As leader of the sovereignty, he also heads Entei City as Grandmaster, however leaves this predominantly to a close circle of magi and scientists whilst he continues his role as Headmaster of Merlin Academy. Magus'bane has been headmaster since the age of 46 and became leader of the sovereignty at the age of 51.Demography and Population
The Sovereignty is based in Entei City, and has a membership of around 150,000 (higher than most guilds because of it's huge influence over it's city).
