Aclanar

Aclanar (formerly Alderwell), otherwise known as the Realm of Entei, is a great expanse of pristine hills and lush forests and open lakes in the east of South Occulas. To the west, beyond the River Áslot are the Iringod Spires, bordering the Wilds. On its east coast lies the Warm Sea, and to the south the South Sea. Venturing north-west beyond the Writen River leads to Terimus.
Settled first by the followers of Iringod, this realm has been under control of magic users since the 4th century, which would later become the Arcaz Sovereignty. The presence of the Starwell in Entei has long drawn magical users of all kinds to travel to South Occulas, from the mostly human followers of Iringod that built the city, to Kuj'anastian High Elves from Viridium.
Aclanar has seen many technological advancements since the discovery of arcane crystals, capable of replicating energy in the same way that electricity is used in Non-magic Earth.

Geography

Aclanar is known for its long open fields and freshwater lakes and rivers. Much of the land from the east coast and to the western foothills is emerald green grasslands and hilly slopes. To the north and south wooded areas are scattered over the land with tall beautiful trees with wide canopies.
Many have commented on Aclanar's beauty, as if blessed by magic itself. This leads many to believe that the Starwell itself plays an important role in keeping the land pure.

History

Burning Invasion

During the events of the Burning Invasion, the region that would later become known as Aclanar was prior named Alderwell, and was among the first regions traversed by the 3 Greater Demons of Hell following their departure from Bloodholme. The Order of Injustira battled with the forces of Dantézan numerous times on the western outskirts.

Discovery of the Starwell

Whether the Starwell existed here during the Burning Invasion no one is certain, however once the Great Voyage brought thousands of magic folk over to Occulas, many of the people that studied arcane magic felt their magics enhanced simply by being in Magic Earth. Iringod, an Eternal, was one of the first to sense the Starwell's presence during his time in North Occulas. By the end of the 4th century Iringod and his followers (now a mixture of mostly humans and some Kuj'anastian high elves) had followed the source of arcane energy and discovered Alderwell in the south-east of South Occulas, calling it home and building Alder City around the font of power.

War Against Dantézan

Alderwell grew in population over the next century, but in the beginning of the 5th century it began to see Divine outposts pushing into its borders from Terimus. For a decade the people of Terimus were sending out doomsday-like messages, warning of the return of Hell. But in 510 the Order of Injustira reformed in Skyfall and began sending heralds across the land. This caused for some verbal and political conflicts in Alderwell. In the coming few decades the presence of demons became increasingly more frequent until eventually Dantézan revealed himself in 540, rattling the foundations of western Alderwell in a cataclysmic surprise attack that shook the land.
The defeat of Dantézan came two decades later, a few years after the sacrifice of Iringod.

Jewel War

During the events of the Jewel War, Alderwell was lucky to remain mostly unscathed by the war. The Dark Days caused the land to suffer initially, but thanks to Merlin already being in possession of the Sapphire Jewel some of the land was spared the droughts of light needed to survive - and instead were magically sustained. Soon later this place became known as Aclanar.
