Portal Attuning

There are various portals around the world that enable the players to teleport between them. There are multiple portal networks. It is only possible to travel between portals of the same network. To be able to teleport to a specific portal, a player must attune to a location, this can be done by touching the gate stone at the portal. Attuning takes only about half a minute. During this process, the person who is attuning will experience a state of sense deprivation as if they are ripped from their body. They will first see the symbol of the network the portal belongs to followed by a short view of all portals of the network, including the one they are attuning to. They will experience these visions as if they are standing in the center of the portals. Already attuned portals (including the one that is being attuned) will grand a clear vision, while unattuned portals will cause the player to see a murky view of the portal's location.
The portals appear as stone platforms with a magical circle carved into them. The circle will light up in a color corresponding to the network the portal belongs to whenever someone attunes or uses the portal. Near the portal stands a small stone pillar that reaches up to chest height for an average human. On the stone, the word "gate" is carved in an unknown script. This script was used by ancient Hippodean deities.

Overworld network
Symbol: Oak tree.

• Broken tower in Hazegate
• Ruins at the basin of The Ancient Tower
• The Thorns Wood near the Caverns into the Depth
• Somewhere deep into the sleeping wastes (The Ashlands)

Asmodeus network
Symbol: Raging purple flame
Portal locations:

• The Thorns Wood near the Caverns into the Depth
• The palace in the center of Mausolea
• Plaza in the Ruins of Sirus; destroyed

Aetheris network
Symbol: Radiant cloud
Portal locations:

• Ruins at the basin of The Ancient Tower
• Island near the top of The Ancient Tower
• Inside the Palace of Heliomea
