Castle Ninetaver

The stately seat of power of the Duke of Shieldridge , Castle Ninetaver wards the riverlands and the roads leading north towards The Antar Highlands . Formerly known as Heawickshome, the castle was renamed after the fall of the House of Heawick, and granted to newly-recognized House Oake for their loyal service in 1174.

Purpose / Function

Originally built as a seat of power for House Heawick, the castle served as a pleasant riverside estate for the ruling house until their downfall and destruction in 1172.

Alterations

Since House Oake was granted ownership of Castle Ninetaver, they have been consistently improving its defences over the centuries. The formerly luxurious but poorly defended country palace was extensively upgraded.
