Mycestians

Once the ruling class of the universe, the Mycestians are a race of horse people installed by the Pantheon to lord over the pockets of civilization within their Cosmic hegemony.

Bred from Tarion & Deponia (children of Poseidon & Demeter), the Hycestians are named for their Mycestopolis Stable Palace system gifted to them by the Pantheon.

In exchange for enforcing their rule over the Cosmos, the Pantheon gave the Mycestian Lords were given a monopoly on armaments, space vessels, travel within the network of DST Accelerator Lanes.

This would force all supplicants to pay tribute to the Mycestians as intermediaries between the Gods and Creation.

When Hellestine and her children escaped Karoj-Menos, most of their plan to invade the golden fortress planet was coordinating and arming local cells to disrupt the Stable Palaces from reinforcing their masters.

Once Karoj-Menos was destroyed and the Hellecian Sector was formed, the Stable Palaces were ripped of all their value & the Mycestian royal lines were sold off into slavery.

Thus ushering in the Age of Anarchy.

Those who were sent into slavery were bred and trained into becoming Myquestrians: insentient Cosmic Aurora batteries made to power flying chariots called a Hamariot in Hermagron races held in local Agronidrome arenas.

Those who were sparred this fate were integrated into the administrations of the Lypneans: cousin sub-species who aided the Hellecians in overthrowing the Gods and were awarded administrations in the Ionite Colonies of the Pontic Thumb.

All who refused to integrate were sent to their local Agrodrome.

By the time of the Taygestronesian Civil War, the Mycestians are extinct.

All that remains of their presence in the Hellecian Sector is the use of their mane hair in Hoplon Militia Corps helmets; more specifically their Web-Weave energy shield technology.
