Hellestine

Born as a primordial from the chaos that created Gaia, Nyx, Tartarus & Uranus; Hellestine was the goddess of blood, genealogy & divine rule (a role traditionally unfilled in Greek mythology). While also being the most important figure in Hellecian culture as their ancestral matriarch.

From her acts of defiance against the Olympians in creating the Progenitors of the Hellecians (Archaneus, Iodium, Aeonia & Dodros) and the role she would play in future events, Hellestine would inadvertently cause the universe nearly to return to the chaos it was born from.

Birth of the Cosmos:

Born alongside Gaia, Hellestine would help her sister and Uranus populate the cosmos by infusing them with blood. Upon which, Gaia and Uranus drew their authority as father and mother of creation with Hellestine as their symbol of authority.

However, the space between Gaia and Uranus was rapidly shrinking. In fear of smothering her creations that she saw as her children, Hellestine convinced her Titan offspring to severe the connection between Uranus and Gaia with a sickle. Cronos would take the the sickle and open creation into the universe as we understand it today.

From this point up to the Olympians taking overthrowing their parents, Greek mythology plays out as usual. The only difference being after Cronos' curse of being overthrow by his children, Uranus curses Hellestine - "to watch as a ransomed prisoner while children, not of her flesh, will tear down the creations she help build with cruelty and savage disregard."

Captive under the Olympians:

After watching the Titans take their Hegemony over the Cosmos with the Olympians on the way, Hellestine would be held prisoner to legitimize their rule over the cosmos. She would continue to give life to the Titans' creatures on what was presumed to be Ilocanos-7: the cradle of the Gods and the spot where Uranus was cut.

Once the Olympians overthrew the Titans, Zeus had a different plan for Hellestine. Fearing his father's curse, Zeus forbid Hellestine to fill creation with her blood. He would be the only one to approve what is given life, making her the goddess of genealogy and divine rule instead.

Forbidden to perform her duties, Hellestine had enough and used all of her primordial might to create a flood in order to drown the cosmos in blood. However, Zeus used this opportunity to seal her away in an even small prison inside a pot (inventing a myth on how the gods created the circulatory system).

Creating the Progenitors:

Stuck inside the pot, the Pantheon would take out cups of Hellestine whenever they asked Zeus for permission to create something. Regretting the death of those whom she killed to create the flood, Hellestine sought to use Zeus' fear against by doing what she was created to do: create the children destined to destroy him.

Hellestine was able to convince Zeus to let her out only to counsel his pantheon on their creations. Upon her systematic release outside of the body, she went to work creating the four beings that would become her children.

Seeing as how her ability to imbue life on her own was taken away, Hellestine would have to experiment.

Under Zeus' nose, Hellestine created the four progenitors using the bodies of both a god and a goddess imbued with her blood. As they grew, she was able to take up roles in each of the fours' lives as a counselor, a friend, a tutor & a shield for her children. All while the gods believed the four to be their offspring, teaching them in the ways of the gods.

Karoj-Menos & Her Betrayal:

As the four grew up and birthed children of their own (except for Dodros; Ares made duplicates of him), Hellestine was told to assist Hephaestus on a highly-secret project called Karoj-Menos: a city-planet made with cybernetic gold citizens.

If the curse was to come true, The Gods would advance it on their own terms: by transferring their essence into these golden cyborgs and kill their lifeless bodies, thus fulfilling the prophecy.

Taking Zeus' advise, Hellestine planned to tell her children the truth, only to learn they figured it out already. Relieved, she told her children about the project and the weaknesses in the cyborg's designs. She had a plan that would require all four of their talents to kill the gods at their weakest and take control of the cosmos.

Reluctant to betray his adopted mother, Iodium went to Hera and told her everything.

At the time they were to act, Hera (disguised as Zeus) imprisoned Hellestine inside the golden walls of Karoj-Menos (like Helen of Troy). The queen of the gods poised to have Hellestine's body christen Karoj-Menos while her children watched from a distant prison cell (except for Hera's beloved Iodium).

However, Iodium had a change of heart and helped his siblings' children rescue their parents, giving them a ship, access codes to a DST Accelerator Lane to get inside Karoj-Menos to save their mother while Iodium stalled for them.

Death:

During their break-in on Karoj-Menos, a few members of the Pantheon ran into the escapees; maiming Archaenus, Aeonia (person) & Dodrus (person) while fatally injuring Hellestine as they escaped on their ship.

Surrounded by her children (except for Iodium; soul-transmits onboard to be with his family in spirit) and with her dying breath, Hellestine gave them the location of the secret fuel source known as COAG to get their revenge against the gods. Her only stipulation was to not kill all of them until they were able to replace them.

This promise wasn't kept as the four, newly-formed Patrokonoi-Hellecia laid waste to Karoj-Menos with their new weapons, slaughtering all the gods & draining them of their Ichor.

The entire life of Hellestine would be retold and celebrated every cycle during the Festival of Shattered Gold.
