Cherdovasu

Believed to be an undercover Ionite rector studying the ethnography of the Scytauroi war herds under the honorific Cherdovasu (meaning "great scholar"). His real identity is Chiron the legendary trainer of heroes and chief advisor to the Pantheon, in disguise.

Born in the Thessalis Anvil, long before the Pantheon were conceived. Chiron spent his time studying the various species of humanoids that once populated the Anvil's vast forests. His passion for mentoring lost souls was fostered, chasing down crazed Scytauroi and teaching them skills to tame their savage side.

Chiron would be gifted immortality by the Cosmic Aurora for his efforts. And for this honor, many would come to learn at the master's hooves. Even the cosmic hegemons would ask the great teacher to instruct several generations of their emissaries: the Psygonauts.

By the time of the Pantheon, Chiron was asked to be Zeus' chief advisor in the field.

The teacher gave the gods perspective on the creatures that roamed their massive god planet. He also offered warnings of a massive uprising on its way and his misgivings about Zeus' plan to overcome Cronus' curse (the young overcoming the old) by transplanting their souls and Ichor into golden bodies.

However, Zeus and the gods refused to listen his pleas. And by the time of the Hellecian invasion, Chiron was smuggled out off world by several of his students.

Surviving the Invasion of the Progenitors, the Helio-Apollan Binary Supernovae and the resulting purges, Chiron retreated into the Pontic Thumb and studied the resilient fauna.

Unable to resist the allure of teaching, he took up the alias Herodrion: an Ionite monk from the Carassilah rectory. He ghost-wrote articles of the Thumb's fauna for the UHP.

He even wrote a public condemnation of the Lazlith treatment of his brother and his retinue, following the wedding battle. Claiming barbarism isn't genetic, Scytarus was a victim of a medimizing agent in the nectar, and that the Anvil needed to come together to repel a coming invasion.

Even though many agreed with his writings, the civil war in the Anvil still erupted.

However, his reputation grew. Questions came flooding in on the prolific writer's identity.

Facing mounting pressure to reveal himself, his saving grace was the Perxis-Sadem invasion. After which, he escaped into the Isbarbous Spout and created the narrative he was on an expedition to study the Scytauroi war herds left to roam in the Spout.

The reports and histories Herodrion (now Cherdovasu) sent back to UHP would be the definitive source of Scytauroi ethnography. Even becoming a minor celebrity, Core Worlders following the exploits of a brave "Hellecian" in the savage cluster of Isbars and criminals.

It wasn't until The Psygorellius broke into the Spout and sought out Cherdovasu that Chiron's identity was discovered.

Refusing to counsel more violence and destruction, Chiron would join them as an ambassador to the various confederacies he had good relations with. Eventually, he would discover the Colcion Confederacy has the Lost Aurora Crown of Ilocaons-7.

Will the Colcions listen to Cherdovasu's calls for peaceful negotiation or will they reject Chiron as a traitor and call for the heads of the Psygonauts?
