The Planes of Magick

Magick is created by drawing mystical energies from specific extra-planar realms that influence, form and restrict its functions. Deities and daemons can also grant powers to mortals in a similar, but more limited manner.   the Planes of Earth, Water, Air and Fire, the four elemental powers, form a non-antagonistic circle of dominance and submission. This is referred to as the Circle of Elements. Mage or wizard are common names used to refer to those who study elemental Magicks, but they prefer the nomenclature of Mancer.   Blood and Sacrifice Magicks are granted by The Voices as worshiped by the Church of the Crossing. These divine Graces are wielded by Priests and some Paladins.   The Planes of Light and Life are gifts from the sun goddess Sola, and her consort, the moon god Lune. As followed by the Church of The Solune. These Planes are collectively referred to as the Aether. Clerics call upon these Blessings as they bring aid to humanity.   Access to the Planes of Darkness and Decay are the Boons granted to Warlocks, Necromancers, and those who traffic with Daemons.   Nature, also known as The Wyld, stands alone amongst the Planes of Magick. Its power draws on the primordial energies of plants and beasts. It is almost exclusively practiced by Elves. With human Druids and orcine Shaman also able to tap into Nature Magicks, albeit to a lesser degree.   Light and Darkness are in constant struggle against each other.   Nature and Life, while not connected to each other, both face violent opposition from Decay
Reliable Magick is drawn from the Elemental Planes of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. I suppose, to a lesser extent, one must consider the Wyld to be reliable in its own way. The other sources of Magickal powers are the domain of gods and daemons, and the wise man holds no truck with such powers.
