Druid

Druids utilize nature-based magics. Their powers come from an attunement with nature that can only be developed by isolating oneself within nature's heart. Thusly, Druids tend to spend a majority of their time in commune with the Elfwood. Some are even begrudgingly tolerated by the Elves.
Druids can sometimes be found wandering the Coastal Realms practicing their healing ways, righting wrongs, and spreading the teachings of nature in balance.
Druids view the Orcine races as enemies of nature.
The more powerful a Druid becomes. the less likely they are to interact well with other humans.

Perception

Purpose

Druids are the self-appointed defenders of nature.  And as such, nature has imbued them with arcane powers to carry out said mission.

Social Status

Often viewed as moon-touched vagabonds.  
The common folk appreciate a Druids help in tough times, but don't much care for the talk of nature's balance when times are well.
Nobles look down on Druids as the cause of everything wrong with the common folk. So they are quite unlikely to truly listen to a Druid's warnings.

I've heard tales of Druids changing shape into woodland creatures.  And from reputedly reliable sources.  Just goes to show, you shouldn't believe things you have not seen yourself.
