Education

Rovert learned his Loremaster trade at Rook Manor before it was consumed in flame.  This makes him one of the last living Loremasters to be educated in the ways of the Old World.

Mental Trauma

As a young man, he lost his fiancee and his parents to a Feimer raid on the Low Town quarter of Lumenos.  Ever since then he has had a visceral hatred of the sea.
