Daemon

Daemons are malevolent entities from another existence. Their goals in the Bright Lands are inscrutable, but it is clear that they actively seek to harm humanity.
It takes considerable effort for a Daemon to manifest a physical form. And this manifestation can only last but a few hours.
Possessing unwary victims for a time is a task easier for them to achieve. But an uncautious Daemon may find themselves trapped for a time in a Zombie or possibly a Skeleton if they overstay their welcome in the possessed individual.
The most common form of interaction with the world that Daemons have is to make a bargain with a foolish human who has summoned them to seek their daemonic power. When the bargain is struck, the unwise and now dangerous person becomes a Warlock. The Warlock, in exchange for their use of dark magicks, unwittingly serves the purposes of their daemonic benefactor.

Anatomy

It is not known what Daemons look like in their native realm of existence, but when they take the effort to manifest in our plane of reality, they take on a humanish form with ruddy skin and monstrous additions like horns, hooves, and leathery wings.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They can sense sentient minds at a short distance, and can taste fear in the air.
Many have the ability to manipulate Magicks from the Decay and Darkness demenses.

None can speak with surety as to where Daemons come from.  But even the basest fool should see clearly that they seek mankind's destruction.
