Lengna Purse

Grabby Hands

Written by Endrise

How do you lose your fingers from a purse?!
— Urban Robber

The Lengna Purse is said to be the belonging to a noblewoman of Roselia. Although the heirloom has been lost, the myth has remained of the lady with the voracious bag. Some might even say it still is out there.

Luxury Item

The Lengna Purse appears like a luxurious purple leather handbag, adorned in sapphire jewels and given a golden outlining... that is, until it shows it Mimic heritage: the gems become eyes, the opening on top grows teeth and tendril-like tongues lash out from its contents. Although small in size, its bite can amputate even through armoured hands.

Personal Security

According to the stories, the Lengna Purse once belonged to a woman named Alizée Chaput, one of the many nobles of the area. Most believe Alizée found it as a baby, making it imprint upon her as its mother.

Over time, it slowly learned to disguise itself as the handbag of the noblewoman, creating the legend amongst thieves: Whenever the bag got snatched or stolen, Lengna would bite of the fingers, only to run back to Alizée with all her belongings.

Although the noblewoman eventually died, the handbag was kept in the family bloodline for years to come, inevitably ending up lost as it fled the home. Some believe it is still out there, over the years having grown up to something much larger, but trying to protect the goods of its owner to this day.

Ooh, very fun!   Although I will point out, they way the first sentence is written? It sounds like it's the noblewoman of Roselia that is the mimic.

Well, wouldn't that make for a neat twist! The adopted mimic grew up from purse to take on being the noblewoman of Reselia!

This is so humourous and adorable. I don't know much about mimics, but I followed the "story" here fine. Well done.
