Dewan is the heart of the cosmology and the material plane where the current world exists. Mortal species live here, and their actions ripple across the multiverse. It serves as the centre of the wheel, surrounded by other planes that reflect or support its existence.
The world of Dewan is now at a turning point. In the Riverlands, brave settlers aim to forge new kingdoms and tame the wild lands. Yet they face peril from all sides: from bandits and monsters to rival warlords, mysterious cults, and the fey of
The Dreamwyld. The struggle to carve out a lasting realm will define the next chapter in Dewan’s history, as heroes rise to shape the fate of a new era.
There are multiple continents on the material plane of Dewan:
Agela.
History
200 BCE - Fall of Centuria
The empire of
Centuria falls to an unknown cataclysm, its people vanishing. Some members of its knight order remain and become known as the
Centurions.
1600 CE - The Al-Khetian Fracture
The death of
Pharoah Queen Atenara in 1600 CE, brought about by a mysterious and unexplained illness, marked the beginning of the end of the
Empire of Al-Khet. In the wake of her passing,
Sethet-Ka rose to claim the title of
Divine Pharaoh, but his ascension was contested and failed to unify the fracturing provinces.
Without a clear succession and amid mounting internal divisions, the once-mighty empire splintered. City-states, governors, and former provincial commanders asserted their own sovereignty, giving rise to the
Free Cities of Al-Khet. While they claimed descent from imperial traditions, these cities operated independently, competing for influence over trade routes, river crossings, and abandoned imperial fortresses.
