Sethet-Ka
Sethet-Ka began his life as a servant to Sekhemtara, learning the arts of necromancy and ancient draconic rites. Ambition burned within him, and when Sekhemtara fell at the end of the Age of Titans, he stole sacred scrolls before fleeing into the Scorching Highlands. Many years would pass as he studied the scrolls; however, he would eventually make his way to Y’Matara shortly after Queen Atenara died, plunging the city into chaos.
With lawlessness spreading through the streets, Sethet-Kaw saw an opportunity. He journeyed deep into the Osirion Wastes to seek out Cyrthiur, the Broken King, a fearsome entity worshipped by Sekhemtara. After days of mediation and ritual, Cyrthiur appeared, demanding sacrifices in exchange for power. Sethet-Ka agreed, offering blood on each new moon for dominion over Y’Matara.
His return to the city is legend: Sethet-Ka rode through the gates in a chariot made of bone, drawn by spectral jackals. With a display of sorcery, he quelled the chaos and seized control of the Royal Ziggurat. He declared himself Divine Pharoah and the living god of Y’Matara, establishing a new dynasty and binding the city’s fate to his own.
