The Loreweavers Festival

Elves believe that stories can help people better themselves. Every year The Loreweavers from neighboring clans gather under a warm mid-summer moon to trade stories, master their oratory skills and learn the histories their people depend upon. As a people without a written language, the Elves revere their storytellers and rely on the ancestral knowledge that they pass on to each generation. Every Elf feels the need to spin a good yarn but Loreweavers dedicate their lives to it, claiming storytelling to be their primary role within their clan.   Fire Spirits are particularly welcome at The Loreweavers Festival. Friendly Fire Spirits enhance the stories with lighting effects and crackling noises. The Elves are grateful for their warmth and light as well.
There's nothing worse than being caught off-guard by an Elf who is a terrible storyteller but is not self-aware enough to know it. The meandering narratives and the non-sensical plots are not to be forgiven.

Life's Dangers

There is an entire genre of lore dedicated to teaching the Elves how to survive. There are tales about terrifying predators, the dangers of the night's shadows, the risks of eating unknown plants, and many other topics. These are thought to be the oldest of the stories shared among the Elves.

Moral Lessons

Many Elvish stories revolve around moral quandaries and the consequences of the decisions made by the protagonist. The Elves believe that the reason why you chose to do something matters as much as the act itself. The narratives are often internal conflicts with no easy answer.

Empathy

Experiencing life from the alternative perspective of a person on an entirely different life journey can be an eye-opening experience. The Elves believe that true empathy and compassion can be learned from good storytelling. Creating an immersive experience for the audience is every storyteller's greatest goal as the audience's empathetic response is believed to be strengthened by inhabiting the viewpoint of the main character to gain perspective.

The Start of The Dream

Influenced by the memories of The First Generation Elves and The Dreamstone Codex, the creation of The Cosmos by The Dreamer and the history of  The Serpent and Shadows War is conveyed to younger Elves through storytelling.
