The Trinity Moon Triple Enfolding
The Triple Enfolding was the most powerful of the various political unions to rise and fall in the age of the New Kingdoms. The image at the head of the article looks south and west over its ancient (and now ruined) capital, the city Goolsyn on the continent of Tinturbean, with the palace of the Enfolded One in the foreground.
Culture
The Enfolding used two different variants of a core language. On Tinturbean they spoke, High Trinitarian, an elaborate formal language which had evolved from Dry Cursive, whilst elsewhere Low Trinitarian was the predominant language, spoken also by many of those beyond the borders of the Triple Enfolding, including the mages in the Kingdom of Snowborne.
History
The Trinity Moon Triple Enfolding was created in 8613 BPC by the Triple Enfolding Treaty, an agreement which united the Kingdom of Helbidden, the Commonwealth of Owpin and the Bress Protectorate. The unification of these three former rival powers was made possible because they had come to share a common religion, a strongly proselytising sect which was a variation of the ancient Way of Trinity Moon known as the Enfolders. Adherents of the faith rose to power in the Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the Protectorate simultaneously, and they were able to engineer a conference in which the Enfolded One assumed control. For the Enfolders, it was a spiritual and secular endeavour to bring former enemies together as friends.
The Triple Enfolding went on to become the most powerful political group of its time on the world then called Trinity Moon. It collapsed rapidly in the immediate aftermath of the Sundering in 7231 BPC, and the final Enfolded One is said to have gone to his tomb in the chaos of the destruction of Goolsyn in 7226 BPC.
Disbandment
The Triple Enfolding fell apart under the strain of the climatic changes that followed from the Sundering. Although its lands were in general not so badly affected as those under the control of the Kingdom of Snowborne, nevertheless much of Tinturbean and northern Myruthea became icebound and this had hugely disruptive effects on the extent of fertile agricultural land, the location of viable settlements and the whole balance of world trade. In the end, it wasn't so much the direct effects in the heartlands of the Enfolding which broke it, so much as the indirect effects all across its northern borders which caused it to fracture as a unified political entity.

At its peak, the Enfolding controlled southern Myruthea, northern Punjuki and all of Tinturbean.
The capital was the now ruined city of Goolsyn, situated on the southern slopes of the Tellus mountains at the centre of Tinturbean. This had once been the capital of the Commonwealth of Owpin and was always a special stronghold of the Enfolders.
Although the town of Helbidden had initially been the foundation of the Enfolding's power in Myruthea, the city of Ralsimoor in the east grew rapidly under their rule to become the largest and most important city on the continent by the time of the Sundering.
