The Enfolders

The Enfolders started out as a sect within the philosophy known as the Way of Trinity Moon but their version of the faith came to dominate religious thinking in the later years of the age of the New Kingdoms.
It was the Enfolders who orchestrated the unification of three formerly separate powers to form the Trinity Moon Triple Enfolding.

Structure

The leader of the Enfolders was a mathemagical mage known as the Enfolded One and after the formation of the Trinity Moon Triple Enfolding, he became the leader of the secular organisation as well as the spiritual one.

Assets

The most holy site for the Enfolders was the Temple of the Triple Moons at Goolsyn. Although it suffered from the advance of the ice after the Sundering and was largely ruined with the rest of the ancient capital city, parts of the structure have survived and it is still of great interest to archaeologists.

Divine Origins

The Enfolders took astronomical work which had been developed by the Way of Trinity Moon and imbued it with an additional mystical level of meaning. Their religion was heavily mathematical, using arithmetical series and geometrical constructions as an aid to meditation. More specifically, the number three had great significance and the three moons, Lumina, Celestria and Triquetra were worshiped as sources of arcane power.

Priesthood

The Enfolded One was the highest ranking magician in the Enfolders and after the formation of the Trinity Moon Triple Enfolding he also held great secular power, ruling from the capital city of Goolsyn.
Second only to the Enfolded One were the Brides of the Moons, chosen to bear the mystic and arcane children of the moons at each Super Conjunction, in ceremonies known as the Moon Pregnancies.
Supporting this leadership, was a layer of minor ceremonial aides and functionaries known as the Exposition. Members of the Exposition revealed the pattern of the Enfolding to the faithful.
