Delve Corporation

The Delve Corporation runs the town of Ver'Del which is an offshoot layer of the Mad Dungeon. It specializes and nearly monopolizes the mining and refinement of Vertin Dust. It has close ties to Ilroor Maror as a protecting settlement in the layer above it, as well as the primary distributor of the dust.
The corporation runs the entire city off of the ledger, so while coin is used periodically among the freemen the rest of the economy is run with a single series of accounts controlled by the corporation. While it is suspected they manipulate goods and services with this control, no one has been able to change that for now.
Magzana Sylvaranth notably led a slave revolt that killed the previous head of the corporation and the current leader Gort Tinwhistle is adamant about maintaining control. To do this he has implemented stricter controls over the slaves, though this may soon backfire as they feel they have nothing to loose.

Structure

The corporation is run by a single despotic head, the latest in a line of despots who control it. The head then delegates authority to his lieutenants over the refining stations, the mine itself, the slave camps, the shaft operators, the city guard, and the providers. There are really three classes in the corporation; slave, freeman or bureaucrat. Occasional slave revolts happen and it usually ends up as a mess of bodies.
