Session 019: Traversing the Dark Report Report
General Summary
Having saved the one child from the kobolds, the party decided to go back to the kobolds the next day and search for any other missing children. However, the Kobolds were on high alert searching for their missing two hatchlings (Roy Crown Royal and the child from Prairiehome Haven, Hakkak), both of which were hidden back at the tavern with Gwenth Adrona and Tyrinn Ironward. Because the kobolds were searching for their "hatchlings", one of their search parties found Revnaa Noshk and Vegam Yar who were trying to sneak in their area. After some failed deception and intimidation, Vegam used his divine gift to cast a beam of light in the cavern essentially placing a small temporary sun in the Darklands. Shocked and bewildered by this power, the kobolds paused at Vegam's divinity, and stopped to listen to the party that they were not there to steal their hatchlings but to rescue them from the Serpantfolk.
Meanwhile, Kartika Rogyapa had failed at a flirtatious encounter with a domineering Serpantfolk and had found themselves enthralled, stripped of all their gear, and tossed into the slave pens with the children awaiting transport to the Serpentfolk main city. Having lost all hope after being kidnapped three weeks ago, they trembled in fear as Kartika tried to convince them that she was here to save them (and not eat them, which was in question for a moment). Kartika busted open one of the cell slots and irritated a guard by tossing children at him.
While this insanity was happening, the rest of the party decided to go to the area they knew the sertent folk were (which they had learned from Session 018: Traversing the Dark Report) and head to the gurarded building where the children were most likely to be hidden. The party chose to take the direct approach of axing the guard and alerting the all within. This caused two things to happen:
1) all the serpentfolk to swarm Bones McGee, Revnaa Noshk, and Vegam Yar 2) allowing Kartika Rogyapa to dislocate her arm and escape with all the children out the window. Over run by attackers, Revnaa and Vegam fled, while Bones played dead. Eventually after several hours, all of them were able to sneak back to the tavern with the children and hide in their room. Revnaa set up traps by the door as they decided to take a rest and plan what to do next, which hopefully includes Kartika Rogyapa recovering her gear.
