Session 016: Traversing in the Dark Report

General Summary

After reaching the Kobolds, the party was lead to the entrance the Kobolds originally used to find the surface. They were warned to be careful and that a "big boss" was in the ruins. After climbing down a shaft they entered the ruins in a dark room with a lot of discarded tanned skins. As Vegum collected the skins to hopefully sell later, Kartika warned the party that she could sense several hauntings nearby. With this in mind, the party moved carefully through the ruins, learning that many of the doors they encountered seemed to not only be locked but trapped against the living. They covered up a haunted mirror, killed the "janitor" constructs, avoided a haunted fountain of blood, read some creepy writing on a bloody wall, and was nearly digested by a hungry cloaker.   The party then decided it was best to take a moment to tend their wounds, when Barley started barking. Suddenly a dog five times the size appeared with a collar labeled "Thunder" in celestial. Thunder took them out of the ruins to another location somewhere on the continent that was rapidly running out of alcohol (Happy St. Patricks Day folks). Bones was disassembled by a spirited little man named Yan Tan and his brethren. With some leprechaun hijinks, the party broke the fey curse, but not before the party learned that for some reason when Tyrinn gave the leprechaun his name, it caused them a to have a backlash power when they tried to curse him. Once the curse was broken, they reappeared in front of the Drunken God in a different form and he gave them a magical coin as a reward before sending them back to their previous location in the ruins.   Once there, Bones was returned to the group and Yan Tan left. Kartika placed a leprechaun hat on Bones' head, instantly disguising him as a leprechaun with his living face. The entire party then got to see what Bones looked like before he died. Before moving on, Kartika asked the group if they would help her release the haunted souls. She started with the haunted fountain, realizing that the base was made of the skin of people's faces. Kartika sowed the original skins back onto the faces before exercising the spirits of the fountain. They whispered "don't wake him up" before departing.   The party then moved to mirror, intent of releasing those spirits. Kartika saw her own reflection in the mirror twisted and protruding spikes. Revnna and Bones also saw their own twisted reflection, but did not feel the pull of the mirror. Kartika placed her hand onto the mirror and then attempted to pull the spirit out of the mirror... and was successful...

Rewards Granted

Leprechaun Hat: Creates an illusion of a steriotypical leprechaun outfit on the person who wears it. If placed on a corpse, it remakes the face of the individual the corpse was before decay. The hat requires a Perception Check of DC 10+Cha (or modifier if not revised) to see through the illusion.   Leprechaun Coin: The bearer of this coin can recreate up to 100 chocolate golden coins. These coins appear like real golden coins unless bitten into or exposed to high heat. Once the original coin bearer reproduces more coins, all the old coins dissapear (unless eaten already).
