The Conflict
Prelude
The Empire in it height of power created massive military for state of the art weaponry and abducted millions of children to serve in their armies as mindless slaves. It was then that their leader, Zanpha began to prepare his conquest of the world. Using science, magic and the dark power granted by him, by the Scion, god of Darkness created some of the most horrifying creation ever used in war. After two decades of preparing he plan was finally prepared to be used. Full scale invasions by the empire on several different continents caught much of the world by surprise, massive casualties followed as the defenders completely caught off guard.
Deployment
Armies across the world mobilized to fight back the invasion forces of the empire in an attempt to drive them back to where they came. Some would fail and others would succeed Many of them would not as fighting would continue for years before they could fight the empire on the continent of Canganar. The Phoenixian Dominions and many other nations were soon informed on what had transpired during the isolation of the continent. With what had been learned, the Coalition of Nations was formed and millions soon answered the call of war. After several months of debating and plans were made liberate the continent. In a matter of days hundreds of thousands of troops set out cross the world to liberate Canganar from the empire. Along with several theaters of war to liberate territories occupied by the empire during their initial invasions.
Battlefield
The Theaters of War
Canganar: There was one word for a place like, "Death." For every inch that was fought, thousands would die and the bodies kept piling up. It would be the last campaign before the war ended and it would see the bloodiest of the fighting in the war. Even the scars from the war can be still seen to this day has never properly recovered and ruins of cities and battlefields can be found far and wide. The battles that transpired there have been known to be the most savage and brutal that the world has seen in many millennia.
Aerostes: It was considered one of the worst campaigns to be in during the war as Coalition forces in that area were unequipped and politics got in the way of military matters. By the time actual reinforcements came to support them in pushing them back, at least a quarter of the continent was occupied by the empire. Making it a costly victory in the long run.
Teronia: A war of attrition one might call as neither side could advance on the other as they did not wish to risk heavy casualty rate. Their was some moderate deaths on both sides, but eventually the empire surrender at the final years of the war as resources were all but drained and no reinforcements were coming.
Wujang: It was the shortest of the campaigns, as the coalition forces actually rushed the enemy defense with shock tactics before they could properly dig in. Making it one of the least costly of the entire war.
Outcome
The empire was defeated, but the cost was high. Millions were killed and the entire continent of Canganar layer in ruins with other parts of the world as well. Leaving millions homeless and lawless as their governments no longer existed, their history and culture left in ruins of battlefields. The Black Blade was also captured and was taken by the The Phoenixian Dominions so it could never be used again or find another wielder. Massive purges and executions of imperial forces followed as well to stop any of them from escaping justice for their crimes. Their unholy research destroyed and any remnant that remained was washed away.
Aftermath
The Phoenixian Dominions Were the ones who took the most of the blow during the conflict ans millions of their forces covered the battlefields. Their military has not fully recovered to this day due to the losses they suffered. Canganar was also divided in controlled territories by Coalition forces. Which still exist to this day to ensure that new governments could function properly and the environment could heal from the sever damaged during the war. The world was thrown into turmoil as economic and political situations across many countries are still struggling from the war. War have begun raising since the war ended as well with conflicts rising more and more. Massive alliances have been made as well such as the Imperial Allegiance and the Coaltion of Democtric States have formed to safeguard their interests. An age of war is on the rise and it is just getting worse as time goes by.
Historical Significance
The Drascan empire was a small empire that existed in the coastal regions of Canganar as its imperial influences began to decay away and it’s collapse was inevitable. That was until Zanpha came along and took control. An exile, from the valiant Peacekeeper, he fled to empire to find safe refuge for himself. He manipulated the population and the government to do his bidding and eventually became their emperor in only a matter of time. He then began to manipulate the entire continent with neighboring state soon became hostile to one another. It would eventually lead to the treaty of Isolation with the continent denying all foreigners access to trade and travel. Once that was achieved Zanpha began his military campaigns across the continent, with his first act was to capture the tree of life at the center of the continent and his former brothers in the Peacekeepers. It was soon later that during that battle that his dark secret was revealed, that he was the Champion of the god of Darkness himself, the Scion as he wielded his weapon the Black Blade. He wished to devour its fruit which could grant him immortality to ensure that his rule was eternal and that he would the fruit in an attempt to free his master from his prison. The Peacekeeper where overrun by the relentless numbers of the new organized armies of the empire and the tree was under their control with very few survivors escaping. But Zanpha failed to achieve immortality as the Tree of Life denied him the fruit as it shriveled up whenever he tried to touch it. In his rage he order it to be burned to the ground. With many stating that the flames could be seen from miles away as smoke filled the skies. Full scale invasions later ensued across the land with warning. The other nations where no match for their new reformed military and modern armies and with in months the entire continent fell under empire without the world e or knowing for over two decades. Many resistance groups rose and fell during that time, The Elementals, the Brotherhood of Truth, and the Liberators were the most famous but they would all fall. Only one group would survive in the ended. Who simply just called themselves the Resistance. They endured for years trying to find help by contacting the outside world. But they failed a communications were blocked and a blockade surrounding the entire continent made it impossible. After so many years, they managed to send on man across the blockade and managed to deliver a startling message to the nearest nation with his reach, the The Phoenixian Dominions. His message was that of horror and fear that were committed by the empire and a startling revelation, a full scale global invasion of the world by the empire. But before it was told, it was already too late. War fleets that world have never seen in many millennia were seen on the horizon of many continents. The fighting was brutal and many of these lands were occupied by the empire, only a few of them were able to repel them. Most notably the The Phoenixian Dominions and the Republic of Creed. What was know as the Great Assault was consider the beginning of the bloodiest campaigns in history with over a million dead in over two weeks. The fighting became worse as they Coalition moved in further and further, but they would not fight on their own as the Resistance aided them in their advance. But the empire unleashed every diabolical and sinister creation they had in their arsenal. From the blood thirsty Helborg to the massive Earth Breaker it became hell on earth as they fighting continued. The battle of Herngord and the Battle of the Black Wastes among many others were consider the worst that anyone could ever imagine. But they were winning none the less and reinforcements from other nations of the Coalition soon aided them after the other campaigns came to a close. Years had past and many had forgotten what life was like and only seemed to know killing now. But finally after seven years of war, they reach the stronghold of Zanpha himself, the Black Fortress . But upon the ashes of the Tree of Life, it was the last push to finally ending the war. But not a single soldier assaulted it, only one went in to finish it all, the Phoenix Knight! No one knows what had transpired inside that place when he went in, but what they saw outside was almost unbelievable. The earth shock and flames rose up to the very sky as both he and Zanpha clashed with their Weapons of Legend. From what seemed like an eternity was only a few hours as they fortress itself began to collapse from this clash of powers. But finally when the dust settled and the Black Fortress was in ruins, the Phoenix Knight walked out warned out from battle and in his hand was Zanpha's arm with the Black Blade still gripping it. After the death of the Shadow King himself, the empire crumbled and the final day of the war were numbered. After a few more weeks of suicidal assaults and holdouts the empire was finally defeated. But the loss of life was staggering. According to records of all the bodies that were finally found, at least twelve percent of the world's population was wiped out as along with those who died before the war as well. After the fighting was all but over, the Canganar was divided up into territories as no government remained on the continent and almost all infrastructure was destroyed. Leave those who survived with nothing to return to as thousands of years of culture were lost to the flames of war. Nothing was ever the same after everyone one returned home as the world was turned upside down from all the chaos had brought. Creating an age of turmoil as war once more covered the world in time and with no end in sight.Legacy
The Wars were considered one of the most bloodiest conflicts that the world has ever seen. In the span of its seven years of bloodshed, the Empire and the Coalition of Nations had lost millions of both civilian and military personnel, the entire continent of Canganar was laid to waste, along with several other regions across the world. Along with war crimes that still horrify the world to this day. Though the empire was defeated, there are still remnants that still exist to this day cause chaos and mayhem in the name of their fallen empire. Along with conflicts rising across the world from the aftermath of the war itself.

Memoirs
To those who have experienced it, they believe that for the world to understand it they must listen to one who was their. Many of them never came back the same after the war ended. From across the world thousands of soldier that served in the different theaters of war that happened all those years ago have written about what they experienced during that troubled time. To understand the horrors that they experienced and the struggles that endured so that something like this could never happen again. So are famous and some are controversial, but none of them are never forgotten. Their words echo throughout time with what they have written down.History
History is written by the victors, but everyone has their own point of view. With every record written down, a certain writer tweaks it to their own words. So enough that happened with much of the war changes as some blame the politicians and other believe that it was the felt of the nations that failed to see the threat of the empire. But all agree on one thing, that the war was a horrifying event that should never happen again. It was an event that changed the entire world and nothing would ever be the same. All children are required to learn it to ensure that they learn from the mistakes of the past. But the past always finds its way to creep back in no matter what is done about it.Propaganda
Politics are in turmoil these day and people follow who ever they believe that is the right person for the job. Many politicians use the war as a way to earn supporters as some where apart of it or other use it to rally people behind as many have suffered from it.Technological Advancement
The wars sparked a massive surge in military technology that have made warfare for destructive then ever, but it has also enhanced several fields of science to improve life such as agriculture and medicine. Along with improve communications and better outer orbit flight systems.

The empire was will to do anything to met its own agenda, even if it meant cross line in science that no one should ever cross at all. They created monster to do their own bidding and experimented on anyone who was deem expendable, even to turn those who fought against them into slaves to fight for them and against their former comrades. Who knows how many thousands of lives were ruined by such barbaric methods and how many nightmares that were unleashed onto the world.
Dark Magic Rising
Dark magic was seen all throughout the war as the empire used it regularly in the war and to make their forces stronger by infusing them with its unnatural powers. Some of the worst of it was seen at the height of the was as it was unleashed upon the battlefield at the Battle of Galdon, as those who were caught by this magic were transformed into mindless monsters that caused the deaths of many. Special groups were created to specifically designed to fight these beings and they would be fights that would never be spoken of due to horrors that transpired when facing them.

Many atrocities were committed during the war and it caused great hatred against the empire. Experimention on perisoners of war, execution of civilians, forced labor are some of the many thing that happened during the conflict and none of them will never be forgotten.
