Weapons of Legend

As the world was shattered by the war by the war of the gods and lay in ruin, the gods themselves were declared by the Divine One, that they were forbidden to interfere in the affairs of the mortal realm again. But it no mean they could not send their tools to aid their followers in their time of need. A weapon was forged by each of the gods with a fragment of their power to give great power over them. They were cast down to earth, some having their first champion instantly and others waited for them. The weapons themselves only choose those who are considered worthy to wield them. As the saying goes "The wielder is bounded to the weapon and the weapon to the wielder." When it finally does happen they are granted great power from weapon and do what they wish with it.

How It Works

The weapon waits for its wielder to come to it no matter how long it might take them to do so. Some wait for centuries to find the right one for them to wield them. When it finally does, a calling is sent out that only the chosen can hear. It comes when the time is right for them to claim it and a feeling is sent to them that draws them toward the weapon. It is a longing of something as if it is missing part of themselves and must retrieve it for it will never go away. It doesn't matter how far or how long it takes them to find once they do the binding is complete when it happens and only death can separate them. But their are always those who seek the power of the weapons themselves, believing that anyone can wield them. That is not the case as many have tried and many have failed as for who dared to wield them meet with agonizing death as the weapons rejected them and they paid for it with their lives.

Powers That Are Granted

Each weapon represents the aspect of a certain god, meaning their power draws from a certain element that god. Each one was designed to be able to use their power to their fullest extent and each one is considered dangerous in their own right, along those who wield them. When used by a skilled hand, these weirder become living weapons that can bring down the greatest of advisers that they face and armies tremble at the sight of them. The element the weapon was made out of grants the wielder certain abilities and their body is enveloped by a suit of armor the grants them protection when it is needed. This armor is designed to withstand normal weaponry and hazards. But this power comes at a price as it puts a strain on the wielders body and can severely injure them if they are not careful.

Bound by Fate

Those who are chosen by the weapons are destined to carry out the will of the gods and do many deeds in their names. With those who are chosen by the weapons being called Fate Wielders due to their situation. Though they are often allowed to do their own business as much as they like. Only to set out on journeys or quests that comes to them through visions or dreams when the time comes. Throughout the ages Fate Wielders have been recorded all throughout history often apart of the most pivotal moments in history to determine the fate of the world.

The Ten

Phoenix Blade: This longsword created by the Phoenix came from the heavens with the Phoenix Knight when came into the world. He has been the only one to have ever used it as well. It is the most destructive of the weapons as it’s power consumes all who cross it.
Wild Bow: The Caretaker crafted the bow to preserve nature across the world and brings it wherever it has been destroyed. It aim is true and rarely misses when it seeks out a target. It also allows the wielder to commune with nature in order to properly take care of it.
Bright spear: The most elusive of the weapons as it only found by those who are just and righteous just Guardian intend it to be. It reveals to true nature of those around them and can not harm the innocent. Its reach is ever extending and its righteous fury spares no one with darkness in their hearts. It lights the way when all seems lost in darkness.
Storm Axe: The skies are set alike when it comes crashing down on whoever it targets. It is a weapon that is unrelenting and uncontrollable. It is very much like its creator the Thunderer,Who never stops until he knows he has once he knows that
Hydro trident: water may seem harmless, but it is dangerous in large quantities and concentrated. Those who wield the trident control the water of the world, with the wrath of the Custodian at their backs. It becomes more powerful the more closer the wielder is to water. It also allows them to breath under water as well.
Frost Scythe: The cold fills the air as it is activated. It is an instrument of death and the Harbinger made sure it stayed that way. Ice develops whenever it touches something no matter how small the cut that was made by it. Nothing is safe from this bringer of cold and death.
Earth Staff: Though it might not be as dangerous as the other weapons don’t be deceived, the Philosopher made sure that the powers of the earth would be at the wielders beckon call when needed. It is a weapon that does not need to kill, but it will if it must. It is also a weapon of peace and understanding as well.
Forge hammer: The strongest metal was created from the forge of ages by the Smith himself. It strengths knows no bounds and can shatter any mortal material in existence. Whenever it hits something the ground shakes and whatever it touches shatters to dust.
Wind glaive: The wind always blows when the glaive is near. It is fast and graceful as the Entertainer. No one can match its speed as it flashes before their very eyes before striking. When using it the wielder can reach great distances with a short time as the winds themselves carry them.
Black blade: The only other weapon that is in the shape of a sword. Though it’s form is that of a great sword. The Black blade is the embodiment of darkness itself as the Scion created it to be. Whenever this weapon is wielded turmoil and chaos follow suit as conflict is created in the name of the Scion to expand his domain across the world. Granting the wielder Monstrous powers in the process.
