Structure

The coalition is an alliance of democratic that has sworn to defend one another and persevere democracy from all those who wish to wipe it out, especially the Imperial Allegiance. Each member state acts independently from one another, often aid each other in times of need. Most decisions are done by the Coalition Security Council as too many governments interfering with one another would them nowhere as politics often get in the way.

Just like the name implies is a military alliance of nations that value democracy to its core and will defend it by any means. But that is where these similarities end. As that is how far the coalition actually goes and it’s member states are all autonomous and independent from one another. Each one can come and go as he pleases if they wish, but only remain in the coalition due to the fear of war that may come from its neighbors and enemies. Where democracy runs free in the states it is also beginning to show another side as well, a degree of militarism. As time has progressed the coalition has become more involved in military activities across the world because it always seems that someone is out to get them no matter how long time passes. In some cases, this has also caused them to lose sight of their ideals when facing threats. Even the citizens of these nations feel that they must take up arms if danger is near. Once once once what was once a nation Going to fight any photos that went to see their way of life destroyed is now more of a militarized alliance of states that will eradicate anyone that is a threat to their way of life and the stability of the world. But this has not blinded them on what they have been fighting for or to debasing their ideals. But they are willing to lend a hand no matter where it may be in the world as they believe it is their duty to aid other states that are suffering for that is the right thing to do.

History

In the Darkest Hour

In a time of chaos when the world was on the brink of world domination by the Imperial Allegiance a small group of nations banded together to hold back the tides of imperialism. Though the odds were against them they managed to hold back the tide over and over again for they stood for the ideals that their ancestors believed in. This would be the beginnings of the coalition as they became a force that would rival the allegiance and hold back its tide. Though the price would be costly as they paid heavily in blood as the first Great War ravaged the world and across much of its territory. But in the end, they managed to halt the power of the Allegiance and cripple it that to the point of complete collapse. Though it managed to survive it would not be apart of the world stage anytime soon which would be decades if not centuries. In this time of peace, the coalition grew and managed to create a successful and lasting peace between its members and neighboring countries bordering them to truly create an ideal world to live in.

Standing Untied

Though the Allegiance was out of the game, for now, it would one day return to start its campaigns for world domination once more or another treat would rise in time and threaten the world. This caused the coalition to become permanently active rather than being disbanded after hostilities were over. In doing this the Coalition Security Council was formed to create plans and systems for the coalition to work in times of war and peace. Along with creating the idea of unity between all member states and acting like one unified nation full of culture and ideas that could work together without dominating one another. An ideal world of what democracy could have to offer if everyone pitched in and got along. Even military forces were reduced to create international peacekeeping forces to maintain peace. Though this was seen as controversial as many feared that the coalition would turn out to become another Imperial Allegiance if they wanted to. This was not the case as they created a set of laws to prohibit these forces from being used in certain ways. But it truly did create a peace that would last across these nations and would help hold the Imperial Allegiance at bay when they finally did return.

Delegators of Peace

After a while coalition soon began to become more active with the current states with neighboring countries that border it. Often in times of conflicts and disasters that have unfolded in them. But rather than forcing their will onto others, they try to just influence them into believing that working with them is better than against them. This would create a series of alliances between them and the coalition to help bring stability and prosperity to both sides. This of course has caused some to consider the coalition as becoming a foreign occupier without firing a single shot to do so and only seek to benefit themselves rather than others. But this is not true as both parties often prosper once this finished with. The only their forces are even in another nation is often to bring relief supplies and create safe zones for refugees to stay to properly protect when their governments cannot. Eventually, this would build-up to the point that most of the world was on friendlier terms with one another with the coalition aiding them. Creating a more stable world that did not have to always be in a constant state of turmoil with everyone believing that there was someone out to get them.

Turmoil All Around

The world has been still recovering from Shadow Wars despite being over for two decades and the coalition is in a state of crisis as it military has suffered greatly from the conflict. Along with the political unrest within its member states that threaten to cause it to collapse. Peace seems to be no longer an option either as many regions that border has fallen to war and unrest. Forcing the coalition to spread its forces thin and try its best to maintain the shattered peace. But while they are doing this the Imperial Allegiance slowly makes its return as its military power increases. Causing the coalition to try and rearm itself all the while trying to maintain diplomatic relations with the Imperials. But behind the politics and fake smiles, they have been trying to sabotage the Imperial war machine in the hopes of stopping or at least prolonging war so they may have a fighting chance when the time finally arrives. This future conflict will decide if democracy can withstand the power of imperialism once more or fall into ruin to it unrelenting strength.

Republic Of Creed: As one of the founding members of the coalition, the republic has great sway in the coalition due to its history and contribution to the coalitions military forces.
Democratic Kandaren Kingdom: One of the last kingdoms left in the world, Kandaria has long since abandoned the traditional monarchy for an elective monarchy instead. Though not the largest or strongest of the coalition the kingdom has made its contribution through resources as the lands around it are rich with them.
Ozemer Federation: Considered the most diverse nations of the world with twenty-seven species and hundreds of different cultures residing in it, the federation has become the poster child of the Coalition showing what the world democracy at work can achieve.
Free State of Galia: The smallest member of the Coalition, Galia having a long history of being invaded has created some of the most adaptive and skilled military forces that are able to be flexible and adaptable to any situation.
Jenasi Pact: Some of the most brilliant minds come from this nation as they value knowledge over everything else. Making them valuable to aid in the development of the coalition and its allies with technology and enlightenment.
Vanor Republic : Another founder of the coalition, the Vanor Republic has a long line of traditions that value warrior traditions of their ancestors and have combined it with democracy. Only those best qualified may hold a seat in office in the government.

Palenon Trade League: Considered more of a corporation than a nation, Pelenon is a world power planetary trade and has operations off-world. Allowing large amounts of funding to be distributed to the coalition when involved in trade deals.

United Kedoma City-States: An alliance of city-states and founding member of the coalition, the city-states act as a major population center as the cities themselves have expanded to become metropolises harboring millions of people. Along with being chaotic as laws differ in each city.
Berdonian Confederation: A nation that is divided into dozens of different states that value freedom and are willing to do anything to keep it that way. The Confederation is rugged land where survival of the fittest is all that matters.
Greater Union of Herasu: A controversial member of that values military strength over democracy. Herasu has become the Coalition's main benefactor to their special forces program and other military technologies.

Military

Coalition Defense Forces

The Coalition Defense Force is a fighting force made up of volunteers from each member state's own military forces to create a standing army that is able to mobilize at a moment's notice. The main purpose of the defense forces is only to intervene in certain situations and are often used to hold off invasions and internal threats in coalition territory. The volunteers that are accepted into it are often retrained as the defense forces often hybridize military equipment and tactics to meet their criteria. Allowing them to become as effective and efficient as possible and using the best that the coalition has to offer.

Orbital Expeditionary Fleets

The O.E.F is a reactionary force made up of specially designed ships that often rely on speed to be able to reach their destination much faster. The fleets themselves are often only found in coalition territory on and off-world to protect them. The only time they are ever moved outside of their territory is if they are being used in a military expedition or used as transportation for relief supplies on humanitarian missions. The ships themselves are of completely different models from the coalition members as well as a way for them to be easily identifiable and to show the unity between the member of the coalition.

Enemies Around Every Corner

The coalition has been dealing with many threats inside and outside of its borders. Extremist and separatist groups have been popping up all across its territories and many relationships it once had with its neighbors have soured. Creating tensions with them as their governments have fallen into disarray with certain groups that wish to use the opportunity to take over. Some of them have already had and are against the coalition and political stand against it goes against their government. Even some nations that are facing civil war or rebellion will often attack coalition forces that are in their territory even though they often just bring humanitarian aid with them. Even with aid from the international community, they seem to be on their own as they try to hold out against the onslaught that seems endless to them.

Fighting in the Shadows

Despite their military being rebuilt over the decades, they are yet to be ready for another war as they have been dealing with problems back at home often in the form of terrorism and separatist movements which are determined to see the coalition in ruins. But in retaliation, they have been targeting those who are planning to strike at them first before they do. Often sending in covert operation behind enemy lines and spies to ensure that threats are neutralized. Creating a new age for the coalition as it deals with threats from behind a curtain that must be stopped without politics being involved. Though it is questionable it seems it is the only way to secure its survival and avoid political complications as they seem to stop them from doing anything these days.

Political Unrest

The political state of the coalition is in a bad state would be considered an understatement. Since the Shadow Wars several of it member have become bankrupt and civil unrest has taken over others. Causing their government to scramble to in order to stay in control. Several political groups have also come up that threatens the existence of the coalition itself with several wanting to pull out of it completely if they gain power. It believed that several of these groups are back by the Imperial Allegiance as an attempt to cripple the coalition to the point that they are unable to fight back when war final comes. Along with it the citizens that support these groups are taking to the streets and violently forcing their ideas onto others.
