- The Barbs: A breaching and suppression cadre forged from the most disciplined and brutal of the Brasshearts.
- Specialized "Tools:" Massive blunt mauls with small reservoirs of volatile gree-vapor inside. On impact, the maul releases a deafening hiss of compressed gas, knocking back crowds, shattering doors—or suffocating anyone too close. Cheap, dangerous, and used indiscriminately.
- The Quietways: A network of privatized canals, elevated service paths, and sealed bridges accessible only to Brassheart keys. These hidden routes let them move squads and supplies unseen across key districts — appearing "out of nowhere" just when resistance organizes.
Quirks
- Show of Strength: The Brasshearts never arrive with just enough force; they overcompensate, deploying squads or dirigibles even for minor assignments to demonstrate overwhelming presence.
- Ritual Polishing: Uniforms, arms, and even the brass insignia must be polished every morning without fail—any deviation is seen as a threat to unit cohesion and reputation.
- Unspoken Ambition: Officers are encouraged, quietly but clearly, to pursue public office, industrial ownership, or high clerical positions on behalf of the faction.
