This trove of knowledge is jealously guarded, with entry restricted to Archive members of the highest rank or those granted special permission by its enigmatic overseers.
Architecture
The Annex is a labyrinthine structure, with shadowed halls lined by towering shelves of dust-laden tomes. Gree-powered lanterns illuminate the library’s darker corners, where cryptic symbology and arcane tools hint at ongoing research projects. Whispered lore claims hidden sublevels delve into the rock below, used for experiments in decoding pre-Big Boil texts and testing mystical hypotheses.
Defenses
The Annex's defenses are as impenetrable as its secrets. Mechanical wards powered by gree and ancient glyphs guard every entrance, their arcane mechanisms capable of sealing corridors or immobilizing intruders. Spectral sentinels, bound spirits tethered to the library’s halls, patrol endlessly. For those daring or foolish enough to bypass these measures, the library's architecture itself becomes a trap, with enchanted corridors twisting into endless loops and vaults cloaking themselves in darkness to ensnare the uninvited. Only those with sanctioned access or profound cunning escape unscathed.
