Purpose / Function
The Anchorage is more than a council hall; it is the nerve center of Awarth’s vast industrial empire. Within its walls, edicts are issued, conspiracies are hatched, and disputes between the Holds are resolved—sometimes violently. It houses the council chambers, judicial courts, archives, and sprawling administrative offices staffed by clerks who labor beneath the constant hum of gree-fueled generators.
The building’s design serves both ceremonial and strategic purposes. Its imposing facade is meant to awe and intimidate, while its fortified underbelly conceals secure vaults, subterranean holding cells, and escape routes leading to the cliffs below.
History
The Anchorage was constructed during Awarth’s rise as an industrial power. Originally a fortified lookout, it was gradually expanded into a council hall as Awarth’s government took shape. Over the years, successive councils have layered opulence onto its industrial core, incorporating gree-powered technology and motifs to reflect the city’s lifeblood industries.
