Master Smith

The Dwarven Anvil in Saltmarsh has been run by the Fabbro family for many years. Their matriach, Mafera, is a Master Smith, having trained at the Smiths Guild of Keymouth.
Mafera is a striking figure due to her height and appearance. She is completely blind, having been injured by a hot coal many years ago. She knows her away around the Anvil like the back of her hand however, though she relies on her son to navigate the world outside the four walls of the smithy.
The blacksmith's forge has a single anvil with a clear sign of dwarven origins, and a backlog of orders ten miles long. The smiths make hooks, nails, harpoons, knives, fishing weights. and much more all day.
Mafera's son, Jasker Fabbro, is her best journeyman.
There is a small shrine to Moradin under the eaves as well, though it is somewhat neglected. Some of the Dwarves associated with the Copperlocks Mining Company are not happy about the situation here. They want to know how a family of human smiths came into possession of a dwarven anvil and a dwarven shrine. A few of the more strident have even demanded that Saltmarsh Town Council force the family to give up anything that "rightfully" belongs to the Dwarves.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Mafera is very tall and well muscled. Her head is shaved bald.
Her most striking feature is the leather blindfold that she wears at all times. Peeking from beneath the edges of the veil long scars and burn marks can be seen.
Mafera has no time for those she considers fools, and treats them with disdain. She can be incredibly stubborn. Her son is everything to her.

Notable Achievements

Mafera claims that whilst in Keymouth she came head of her class, and that she forged the sword of Emperor Vilihame Jehen himself.
