Republic of Hanoras
The Republic of Hanoras is an independent republic formerly under the control of the Korsan Empire until after The Fall, with its link to Eridus effectively severed in 3002 AF upon independence. Hanoras is the one Eridan nation on Mirad to have broken away from Eridus through formal diplomatic means, as Asharia and the Watabowi Empire had simply lost all means to reach their colonies, quietly abandoning them. Unlike its imperial colonizer, Hanoras is a democratic republic, with its political system largely based in the political thought that had arisen within its borders as a colony. Its capital is New Korsus/Korsumeya, while it also boasts the city of Sanashu, known for its intermingling population of Armarans and Sildors.
Structure
Hanoras is a unitary republic, with an elected Senate appointing a President from within their ranks to oversee the nation. Hanoras is divided into 17 distinct states, 9 of whom descend from the various original colonies set up by the Korsan Empire.
Culture
Hanoran culture is descendant from Korsan culture, carrying the traditional stories from the Korsan Empire's 3,000-year history. This culture has largely started to merge with Sildoran cultures, particularly in Sanashu.
