Three Suns Paradisio

The Centauri System has an old culture, far enough from the rest of mankind that they've generally weathered their peaks and troughs without much trouble. One might think that this would make it a paradise. What it actually did was make it a haven for the unscrupulous.
The Three Suns Paradisio is humanity's largest organized mafia, descended from a cooperation agreement between dozens of criminal organizations from Old Earth and the First Colonies. Nearly everyone on the planet has some connection, either directly through an employer or through the friend of a friend. Even those with basically no real connections know enough of the signs and lingo to fake it.
This functions as a Contact Group with an effective skill of 18, with a Frequency of Appearance of Quite Often and a Reliability of Somewhat Reliable: 30 points.

The original colonists on Centauri were there long before Cozine-07's attack. They were a multicultural project from across human society.

Art & Architecture

Centaurians prefer to live in homes that are spread apart with room for nature in between. Their cities are spread apart, and nature preserves are carefully maintained. No Centaurian lives more than a ten minute walk from a preserve.

Foods & Cuisine

Perhaps even more so than Terrans, Centaurians preserve and maintain the recipes and cuisine of Old Earth. Their plants and livestock are unmutated from gene seeds carefully maintained.

The majority of the Centaurians' time is spent on holidays and planning holidays. Visitors to their communities are often shocked to find out that there's some Very Important Holiday or other happening just at that moment.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

True to form, Centauri birth celebrations are elaborate, energetic, and can last for days.

Coming of Age Rites

Centaurians celebrate yearly birth days, milestone days at their seventh, twelfth, fifteenth, and eighteenth years. Then once a decade. These celebrations involve family, friends, and neighbors gathering in large groups and exchanging age appropriate gifts to welcome the child into each stage of life.

Funerary and Memorial customs

When a Centaurian dies, it's typical of them to divide their worldly goods between family and friends, presented as gifts at the wake, which can last a week or more. They are then cremated in a chemical bath, reduced to a nutrient fluid. If they die on a Centaurian world, the fluid is loaded up into the atmos processor, and shipped home to a Centaurian world to get the same treatment. They call this process being "Given to the Rain," which they use as a euphemism for dying in general in colloquial speech.

Centaurians are really of two minds on courtesy. They are, as far as they are concerned, never rude. They can, however, be elitist and snobbish on occasion.
