High Lady or Lord
A member of the immediate family of the Emperor of Duskh. Although this title is technically honorary it serves the purpose of pointing out those who are eligible to be considered to replace the current Emperor of Duskh, should the need arise.
Often, a high lady or high lord will be granted important positions in the Empire as family is generally considered trustworthy by most Duskhan Emperors. And, they have the ability to bless (accept) a union between a noble and common folk, though raising the relation by marriage to noble status. And they can strip it away to those ladies or lords closest to them in relation. Typically, the eldes high ladies and high lords weild the most influence and power.
An Emperor can strip a High Lady or Lord of their title and of Senate consideration if they are accused of a serious crime whose punishment includes death or enslavement.
