What is Terra Nova
Terra Nova is a fantasy setting with a somewhat unique premise. It is currently inhabited by humans who are descended from people who were magically transported to this world from Earth. In their version of Earth's 1990s half of the population of the USA mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Those people arrived in Terra Nova. Upon arrival they realized that any technology more advanced than the late Middle Ages stopped working. They had to build a new life for themselves in this strange new world.
World of magic, wonder and danger
Terra Nova is a world full of magic. Almost every being living in it has some magic inside of it. For humans it took only a few years before first of them acquired magical abilities. However, it isn't all perfect. Monsters created by a mysterious shadow magic roam regions of the world and consume everything they come across.
World of humans
Humans are currently the only sapient species of Terra Nova. Since their arrival they have spread throughout the continent and formed many countries, each unique in their own way. Technology may be less advanced here than on Earth, but there are still conflicts between humans just like on Earth.
Lost world of the elves
Long before the arrival of the first humans Terra Nova was home to elves. They formed a great civilization, mastered magic and then they went extinct. The reason for elven extinction is unknown. Some people theorize that shadow magic might had something to do with it. Today ruins of elven construction can be found everywhere in the world. Many of the human cities are built on top elven ruins.
